The Pizzomunno beach, just south of Vieste on the Gargano promontory, is so named for the limestone monolith located on the north side of the beach and it is one of the longest beach of the Gargano (about 2 km). Very beautiful and with many organised lidos spreading along almost all its entire length. On the south side, where there are some streams of sea water, the beach is for the most part free to use and without services. Another organised lido is located at the end of the beach next to a high cliff.
Pizzomunno beach can be reached by walking south form the town of Vieste or by the SS89 Garganica that goes from Vieste to Mattinata.
