Porto Cesareo to Campomarino

Porto Cesareo is a beautiful part of the western coast of Puglia with a long sandy beach and a nature protected area. Immediately after this bay there is Torre Lapillo bay, with a long sandy beach and a beautiful blue sea with shallow waters. Towards the end, few kms before Campomarino, the beach of Punta Prosciutto, one of the most beautiful in Puglia, with a bluish-green sea and fine white sand.

There are here some protected nature areas such as the Riserva Naturale della Salina dei Monaci e la Palude del Conte, the Parco delle Dune di Campomarino and the Pineta d'Ayala.

 

Porto Cesareo

The resort of Porto Cesareo is made up of about 18 km of coastline with white sandy beaches and crystal clear sea. Off the coast there are a series of small islands, the largest of which is called Isola dei Conigli. The whole area of Porto Cesareo is home to the nature reserve called 'Riserva Naturale Regionale della Palude del Conte e Duna Costiera', which also includes an extensive marine area.

Torre Lapillo

Torre Lapillo is a coastline village facing a bay dominated by an ancient tower known as Torre di San Tommaso. There is, here, a long white and sandy beach with crystal clear waters. The seabed of this part of the coasline is of particular beautiful.

Torre Castiglione

Torre Colimena

Torre Colimena is a small seaside town developed around its tower and located inside the nature reserve 'Riserva Naturale della Salina dei Monaci e la Palude del Conte'.

On the west side of the nature reserve is a long stretch of white sandy beach of a particular beauty. Going across the bay, south of Colimena, is another coastal area with a nice beach.

San Pietro in Bevagna is a small seaside village close to a long and beautiful white beach. Part of the coastal strip of San Pietro in Bevagna is part of the nature reserve 'Riserva Naturale della Foce del Fiume Chidro'.

Campomarino
