Marina di Leporano

Marina di Leporano, located along the Ionian coast of Salento, has a coastline consisting of several bays with sandy beaches. Between those bays: the Baia di Gandoli, the Baia di Saturo, the Baia di Porto Pirrone, the Baia d'Argento and the Baia del Pescatore. The archaeological park of 'Parco Archeologico di Saturo', located in the area between the Baia di Saturo and that of Porto Pirrone, holds archaeological remains dating back to the Greeks colonization and later periods such as: a large Bronze and Iron Age settlement, a Roman villa of the imperial age, II-IV century AD, and a tower of the fifteenth century. Marina di Leporano can be reached by using the SP122 that runs along this side of the coast.
