Mussels au gratin (Cozze nere gratinate)
Mussels au gratin is among the tastiest and easiest to prepare seafood recipes. In this recipe mussels are cooked only with breadcrumbs, parsley and olive oil. Make sure the mussels are fresh of the day.
- 1 kg mussels
- Extra virgin olive oil
- Freshly ground black pepper
- Wash well mussels, open them with a knife and remove the part of the shell without fruit.
- Arrange mussels with the fruit in a baking dish, add a bit of water and cover with breadcrumbs, chopped parsley, olive oil, a pinch of salt and pepper.
- Bake at 180 degrees until the breadcrumb gets golden brown in colour.
- Serve hot.
