Punta Prosciutto

The beautiful beach of Punta Prosciutto is located on the Ionian coast of Salento, north of Porto Cesareo. It is a wonderful beach situated along an enchanting stretch of coast with sandy dunes covered with Mediterranean vegetation beside a crystal clear sea.

This is a piece of paradise in the heart of Salento. The beach is mostly of free access and use. There are, however, equipped lidos with all the necessary facilities for bathing.

Punta Prosciutto is accessible from the SP 340 that runs along the Ionian coast of Salento.

Torre Lapillo

Torre Lapillo beach is located north of Porto Cesareo on the Ionian coast of Salento. The fine white sand of this beach runs for about 4 km with crystal clear sea and a colourful seabed.

Torre Lapillo itself is a small town that faces the bay where the beach is located and it is dominated by an ancient tower known as Torre di San Tommaso.

Torre Lapillo can be reached following the SP340 that runs along this part of the Salento coast or by the SP109 from the main motorway SS359.

Pescoluse

Pescoluse beach lies along the Ionian coast of the southern part of the Salento, south of Puglia, near the small town of Salve.

It is a beautiful long sandy beach of about 5 km with sandy dunes covered with Mediterranean vegetation. The whole area around the beach is lovely and well kept. This stretch of coast has been awarded, for many years now, the prestigious Bandiera Blu for the quality of the beaches and its sea. All along the coast bathing services are available.

Pescoluse beach is accessible from the SP 91 that crosses the Ionian coast of Salento and from the SS 274 which goes through many important cities of Salento.

Baia dei Turchi

Baia dei Turchi is located along the Adriatic coast of Puglia, north of the town of Otranto. It is a lovely beach enclosed within a bay accessible only on foot. The whole area around the beach is defined by a wild and unspoiled vegetation. The beach offers facilities for bathing.

Baia dei Turchi is located about 6.5 km north of Otranto and can be reached through the SP 366 that runs from Otranto to Torre dell'Orso.

Laghi Alimini

The beach of Laghi Alimini is located about 8 km north of the town of Otranto, on the Adriatic coast of Salento, and it is enclosed inside the Protected area of the Laghi Alimini.

This long sandy beach with fine white sand is located next to the Lago Alimini Grande. Along its entire length there are various organized lidos but, also, many free to access areas.

The beach can be reached through the SP 366 from the towns of Otranto and Torre dell'Orso.

Torre dell'Orso

This beautiful beach is located on the Adriatic coast of Salento, near the town of Melendugno. The beach of a length of about 800 metres and bordered by high cliffs, is of the sandy type with crystal clear sea. Off the coast in front of the beach there are two similar high stacks poking out of the sea that have taken the name of 'Le Due Sorelle' – the Two Sisters. Services for bathing can be found all along the beach.

Torre dell'Orso can be reached by taking the SP 287 from Melendugno's centre.

Torre Guaceto

Torre Guaceto is a WWF protected area located along the Adriatic coast of Puglia, between the towns of Brindisi and Ostuni.

Here, there are a number of beaches that are, undoubtedly, among the most beautiful of Puglia, with crystal clear sea and gorgeous seabed with coral reefs ideal for snorkelling and diving. Some parts of the coast have a ban on bathing because the protected area also includes a marine reserve of particular importance.

Torre Guaceto can be reached by taking the E55 (SS 379) that goes from Bari to Brindisi-Lecce. If you are coming from Bari the exit is just after Ostuni. If you are coming from Brindisi exit to the beach is after San Vito dei Normanni.
