PugliaA place to discover and enjoy

Oria was once the capital of Messapia and later an important Roman municipality located on the Appian Way between Taranto and Brindisi.

The town is laid out on three hills on an elliptical plan and dominated by the imposing Castle built between 1227 and 1233 by Frederick II on the site of a primitive Messapian acropolis. Oria has also a nice Cathedral in the Baroque style.
