Ambrosia of lemons

PAT - Traditional Agricultural Food Product
Place of Origin
Ambrosia of lemons is an intense and aromatic liqueur of a pale yellow colour. For its preparation only lemons of the Femminiello variety, typical of the Gargano promontory, are used. These lemons give a unique flavour to this liqueur thanks to their essential oils and their intense aroma.
For the preparation of Ambrosia of lemons follow steps below:
Extract the essences of some lemons in alcohol and filter.
Prepare the syrup by combining 600 grams of sugar with 600 ml of water and let it cool down.
Add the alcohol to the syrup and allow to rest for at least 20 days.
Then make a second filtration and store in bottles.
Ambrosia is a great lemon liqueur to taste with dessert or after an excellent lunch.
