For the preparation of this liqueur only oranges of the Rodi Garganico, Ischitella and Vico del Gargano should be used. They are oranges with a classic shape but smaller in size, with a sweet taste and a very distinctive smell.
For the preparation of his liqueur take the peel of 7-8 oranges, place them in an airtight glass container and cover with in one litre of alcohol. Allow it to rest for at least 8 days.
After eight days prepare the syrup by pouring 800 grams of sugar in one litre of water, bring to boil and when ready let it cool down.
Pour the syrup in alcohol, filter, place in bottles and allow a couple of weeks before drinking.
A great drink after lunch and with desserts.
