Taralli neri with vincotto
Place of Origin
Taralli neri with vincotto are a Traditional Agricultural Food Product (PAT) of Puglia, in particular the area of Foggia. They are also called "Peperati" or "Pupurat".
These taralli are sweet, dark in colour of about 10 cm in diameter.
They are prepared using flour, sugar, vincotto, roasted almonds, vanilla, grated orange peel and baking soda.
The dough is first worked well and then cut into small pieces which are then stretched to a length of about 15 cm. These are closed at the ends to make taralli.
They are then baked in the oven for about 15 minutes.
Excellent cookies to be consumed at will.
