The production area of Castel del Monte Rosso Riserva DOCG (Controlled and Guaranteed Denomination of Origin) wine includes, in addition to the area around Castel del Monte, the territories of the towns of Andria, Trani, Minervino Murge, Ruvo di Puglia, Terlizzi, Bitetto and Toritto.
Castel del Monte Rosso Riserva DOCG is a red wine made with Nero di Troia grapes for a minimum of 65%. Can concur to its production other black grapes suitable for cultivation in the same territories.
The wine must age at least two years, of which one in wooden casks.

Castel del Monte Rosso Riserva is a red wine with a ruby red colour tending to garnet with ageing. It has a fine aroma and a distinctive full-bodied and harmonious flavour.
Castel del Monte Rosso should be served at a temperature between 16 and 18 degrees.
Pairing
Castel del Monte Rosso pairs well with baked roasts, with braised red meats and hard cheeses.
